Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Tech CV Feedback ("the Service") at tech-cv.com, operated by Avi Lewis, based in Israel. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Tech CV Feedback is an AI-powered resume analysis tool that provides career advice, feedback, and recommendations for tech professionals, with a focus on the Israeli hi-tech job market. The Service is available in English, Hebrew, Spanish, French, and Russian, and includes:

• CV/resume analysis, scoring, and structured recommendations
• Skill-gap identification per target role
• ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility checking
• An "improved CV" generator that produces a downloadable, ready-to-use PDF
• Cover letter generation
• Mock interview practice and interview-prep questions
• Market comparison and salary benchmarking based on aggregate self-reported data
• Optional opt-in pipeline that shares senior-candidate CVs with a Tel Aviv recruiting partner (see Section 3)

2. Anonymous Use, Accounts, and Plans

Anonymous use (default): You may use the Service without creating an account. An anonymous browser session is established automatically. Anonymous users are limited to 3 CV analyses per 24-hour period. There is no hourly or weekly cap.

Free account (signed in): Signing in with Google or email/password raises the limit to 5 CV analyses per 24-hour period and gives you a personal history pane that persists across sessions on this browser.

Pro plan: A paid Pro plan with higher limits and additional features is in development. It is not yet active. When launched, it will be priced at approximately ₪9.90/month and processed by a third-party Merchant of Record. The "Payment Terms" section below describes the intended terms for that future plan.

Admin accounts: Operator accounts (the site owner and any future delegates) may have unlimited usage. This does not affect your account.

3. Senior Candidate Opt-In Pipeline

If your CV indicates significant tech experience and you are located in Israel, you may be shown an optional offer to share your CV with a trusted Tel Aviv recruiting agency partner. This is strictly opt-in:

• You must explicitly choose to participate.
• Only if you opt in: your full CV file, contact details, and salary range are uploaded to our storage and forwarded by email to the recruiting partner.
• You may decline at any point. Declining does not affect your normal use of the Service.

4. Payment Terms (Future Pro Plan)

The following terms will apply to the Pro plan once launched:

• Payments will be processed by a third-party Merchant of Record, which will handle payment processing, tax calculation, and invoicing. The specific provider will be disclosed at checkout when paid plans launch.
• Pro subscriptions will be billed monthly in advance.
• Prices will be displayed in Israeli New Shekels (₪/NIS). Applicable taxes (including Israeli VAT) will be handled by the payment provider.
• Subscriptions, payment methods, and invoices will be manageable through the payment provider's customer portal, accessible from your account panel.
• Pricing changes will be communicated to existing subscribers with at least 30 days' notice.

5. Refunds

Once paid plans are live: because you can cancel at any time without penalty and retain access through the end of your paid period, refunds are generally not provided. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review your case.

6. Account Registration

• You may sign in using Google authentication or email and password.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• One account per person. We reserve the right to terminate duplicate or fraudulent accounts.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload documents that are not your own CV/resume (or one you have authorization to analyze).
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limiting, or our identity-resolution mechanisms.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or programmatically access the Service without written permission.
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

• AI-generated content should not be treated as professional career counseling, legal advice, or a substitute for human judgment.
• Salary benchmarks and market comparisons are based on self-reported data from other users and may not reflect actual market conditions.
• You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any information in rewritten CVs or cover letters before submitting them to employers.

9. Intellectual Property

• Your content: You retain all rights to your CV and personal information. By submitting your CV text for analysis, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the Service.
• AI-generated output: Feedback, recommendations, rewritten CVs, and cover letters generated by the Service are provided for your personal use. You may use them freely in your job search.
• Our content: The Service's design, code, branding, and analysis methodology are owned by Tech CV Feedback.

10. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what we collect, what stays only on your device, and how we protect your data. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Service Availability

• We aim to provide the Service on a 24/7 basis but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
• We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability.
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time with reasonable notice.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount (if any) you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content, including but not limited to career decisions, job applications, or salary negotiations.

13. Termination

• You may stop using the Service at any time.
• You may cancel a paid subscription (when paid plans are live) through your account panel; access continues until end of billing period.
• We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive (liability, intellectual property, governing law) will survive termination.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email to registered users. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel.
